My Research Journey at NII Tokyo

by Anam Fatima

During my internship at the National Institute of Informatics (NII), Tokyo, under the guidance of Prof. Yi Yu, I had the opportunity to work in a research-intensive and highly collaborative environment. Interacting with interns from diverse international backgrounds introduced me to a wide range of research perspectives and enriched my academic experience.

Thanks to Prof. Yu's and my supervisor's unwavering support and trust in my work, our collaboration led to the acceptance of my first transaction paper— a major milestone in my academic journey. I'm fortunate to continue working with her beyond the internship, further advancing our collaboration.

Over the course of a six-month internship, I also had the opportunity to navigate daily life in Tokyo and explore Japan's vibrant culture, gaining a deeper appreciation for discipline, aesthetics, and community.
